Return to Sender Reason #b. It has clasps, strings, buttons, or similar closure devices.

I can't send my homemade envelope unless I rid of the button! Shucks.

Got the new record player. Portable Newcomb. Often classified as use for "school/institutional" purposes. Mine is grey but sweet.
This is a Califone version of mine, sort of.

Props to Aaron at Mississippi Records.

This weekend had the best weather I've seen since Texas' New Years. Mikey and I went to Overlook park and ate Waffle sandwiches (?!) in the sunlight. Saturday I got a chance to work on the greenhouse with Jon's friends and got a milkshake at Rose's afterwards. Later I hung out in the projection room at Clinton Street Theatre before seeing Pierrot Le Fou. I was cracking up and throroughly enjoying this movie as many groups were casually walking out of the theatre. Ahhh, so little is the patience the american audience has for cinema!! We went to a show and things afterwards but everything seemed much too social.

Last Thursday's craft night was such a huge success Emily has begun to call it an institution. I agree. And I would like to mention my record player suits that very purpose!

My house is in a form of purgatory right now since I have begun renovations and will soon paint but nothing is quite there yet. Some remarkable changes will be happening once I acquire furniture pieces and give it some more lovin'. Change is good.

I think I may convince Rachel to bring my old bike, Nimble Jimble, back from Austin to Sugar Land. I left it at the co-op because I thought people there would make better use of it (rather than sitting in my parents garage). I was wrong.

I am off to see Foghorn Stringband at Moon and Sixpence.

Is everyone thrilled for inauguration?

My life isn't boring but my blog is.

Jazz at Massey Morning

Le producer of magic and sound: (not the burro)

Here is the breakthrough.
I am riding my money as far as it can stretch so that I may go on living this way. Lifestyle: searching for jobs that are worth my effort, settling for nothing, creating, vinyl after vinyl after vinyl after vinyl, being a part of an amazing trio of women, etc.

Whoops, I am falling in love with this coast of humans!Hooray!

Meeting a lot of people from Santa Cruz has struck an interest in visiting. Although nearly 12 hours away, I think this destination was meant for my arrival.

Salt Peanuts!

Here are pictures of my house. This location is the primary source of my happiness and daily social interactions or (social) crafting/dancing:

My housemates owns this:

I ran into the guy who is fixing my record player (as commissioned by Mississippi Records) and he may come to Craft Night soon. Gosh, what a small town this city becomes! Now he is telling me if I don't want that stereo system anymore he will just call me when a super groovy (or green) Crosley comes his way.

Ahhh, the joy of material possession!

I am realizing I left my grandmother's beloved gloves in the root cellar last weekend.
Bummer, as they say.

the sweater is so big it wraps around me thrice

Traditional Mehndi has been entertaining my surfaces lately. One is a pot for a plant.

Tomorrow is Letter Writing Tuesday at our house. The girls are bringing out their typrewriters and I am DJ simultaneously. Aretha Franklin and Bill Evans Trio are two albums waiting to be played.

I read this book about stopping the potential for a nuclear war this week. Today I did nothing but wrestle Bello, draw, listen to records, and make a grocery run. All day. Also, I helped my new housemate, Sara, nail paintings to our walls.

I am pretty up and down these days. I woke up today realizing there were at least 3 or 4 things capable of ruining my mood. Then I walked into my living room and found out Sara owns a 33 of The Point. And then I got a letter from my friend Camilla and it looked like this

so then things seemed to be going pretty well. Also, Clinton Street Theatre is playing Godard's Pierrot Le Fou this week. There is this strange song right in the middle.

I made an ENORMOUS cuban dinner in celebration of the new house mate and Enero birthdays, Emily and Wesley. It was a huge success. Arroz con Pollo and Fried Plantains with a mango, pineapple, papaya smoothie. Everyone was lathargic by the fire afterwards but also giggly since Sara's parents dosed everyone's smoothie with liquid cannabis. Hehe.

Also, I had a psychadellic experience underground in a root cellar for a few hours. Ask me to enlighten you on the memory, if you please.

Dads bringin me a sari from Pakistan

I am somewhat disgusted with this type of tourist- behavior.

My former intention was to post media from Fredericksburg. However, so that I may have time to edit videos and pictures in favor of your pleasure, I will need to stall until that project is complete.

Ergo... pictures from New Year January 2008, exactly one year ago. I am a less agressive person.

I heard someone say their new years resolution was to plant something everyday. I think I may have unintentionally stolen that resolution. If anyone wants mine, to even things out, its up for grabs. "Treat Mima with more respect."

Mima is my grandma.

Also, I might start grad school as early as tomorrow and I bought a record player but it diassembled itself on the bike ride home. Its getting fixed tomorrow (get this) AFTER SCHOOL.

Currently there is a tiny human (small child) in the house named Echo. Soon she will be replaced by a larger human (medium adult) (are these t-shirt sizes) and a regular cat.

Jon is moving back to Pennsylvania and I am staying right here in this chair.
